Direct Tyres & Auto is a New Zealand owned and operated family business based in East Tamaki, Auckland. With more than 30 years of experience in the tyre industry, we bring together a wide range of tyres and wheels, comprehensive vehicle servicing and specialist automotive expertise.

Meet Abdullah and Naveed Khan

Direct Tyres & Auto is jointly operated by brothers Abdullah Khan and Naveed Khan, who are both NZTA-appointed Vehicle Inspectors. Together, they bring hands-on inspection experience, automotive knowledge and a shared commitment to customer care.

Both brothers are actively involved in the business, leading the workshop team and helping customers understand their vehicles’ safety, servicing and repair needs. Their approach is straightforward: inspect carefully, explain clearly and recommend work based on what the vehicle needs.

Abdullah Khan brings previous VTNZ inspection experience and qualifications in Automotive Engineering and EV and Hybrid Engineering, supporting the workshop’s technical capability across conventional and hybrid vehicles.

Naveed Khan combines his vehicle inspection expertise with day-to-day workshop management and customer service, coordinating work and keeping customers informed throughout their visit.

Together, Abdullah and Naveed lead a family business built on personal service, careful workmanship and accountability. Whether you visit for tyres, servicing, repairs or a WOF, you have the support of two hands-on operators who take pride in looking after your vehicle.

Warrant of Fitness inspections

Our WOF inspections assess your vehicle against applicable safety requirements. If an issue is identified, we explain the finding and help you understand the repairs needed.
